Brainstorming a Raster Project Topic

In my Raster class we have been tasked to come up with a project that incorporates various raster manipulation techniques to produce a informative output. I have been brainstorming for several days and have come up with the following topic area:
- Airport Site Suitability
- Power Line Least Cost Path
- Reservoir Site Suitability
- Highway Bypass Route Suitability
- Population Density Study
I could easily pick the easiest one and get a good grade; however, I like to challenge myself beyond the minimum requirements. The one that seems to jump out at me as challenging is the Reservoir Site Suitability. I am not even sure how to go about it and I am already developing additional tasks to carry out with this project. Additions such as locating access roads, boat ramps, hiking trails, camp site, ball fields, etc. are bringing further challenges. Before I can begin on these additional areas I need to consider my main topic. Some things I need to consider are:
- Required Data
- Analysis Techniques
- Suitability Classes
- End Goals
So now I plan to take these in consideration. Hopefully I will be able to find the necessay data and figure out how to carry out the analysis tasks.
