I was recently reading in Trimble’s Technology & more magazine and found a really cool bridge. The Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany is an aqueduct bridge that carries canal waterway traffic over the Elbe River. It opened in 2003 and in 2008 went under scheduled maintenance and inspection. The article highlighted how Trimble equipment and Trimble RealWorks Survey Advanced software was used to survey the bridge once it was drained. The data included details such as photographic images and a three-dimensional point cloud.
