Nonprofit GIS
I was just scanning the web and came across a couple of good resources. On the Mobilizing Youth website I found the Nonprofit GIS post. This post mentions an article from a while back that has a list of interesting uses of mapping by nonprofits and political campaigns. A recent comment on the nonprofit page bought to light a new website devoted to Nonprofit GIS.
As described on this site:
Nonprofit GIS is a new site established to further the adoption of GIS technology in the nonprofit sector. It is an independent resource developed to fill the gap in good, reliable information on the use, implementation and optimization of GIS tools in typical nonprofit organizations.
This site is put together by Steve Spiker (Spike) a certified GIS Professional (Learn more about GISP). He seems to bring a lot of experience to the table. There is some information provided on tutorials, key concepts, data, and software; but I can see a great opportunity for a whole lot more. Great job Spike! I look forward to what may come.

Nonprofit GIS is way cool! I can probably help out with additional info on FOSS geospatial resources for non-profits. Also may be able to hook those folks up with some of the foundations that are interested in geospatial tech for nonprofits. Let me know how I can help.
