It has arrived!  The SkillsUSA Geospatial Technology Competition project package was delivered this afternoon by UPS.  It was sent by Digital Quest.  My wife was kind enough to call me once it arrived.  It was kind of hard to work after that, but I made it through the rest of the day.  Although she denies it, I think she took advantage of the opportunity.  (Actually she was trying to keep us on schedule.)  Once I walked in the door she told me I had to help the kids clean up their room before I could open it.  And yes, I promptly helped them clean their rooms.  I then opened it and was able to read the enclosed congratulatory letter.  That was as far as I was able to get.  I had to get ready for a softball game.  Once I got home and got the kids to bed, I finally got a hold of it.  Inside the package was a letter, project binder, and a 60 day ArcGIS evaluation disc.

I took about an hour to browse through the binder.  I was a little confused at first as the project is actually the fourth part of the STARS program.  After reading the introduction a few time and going through the binder in detail I have a grip on what to do.  I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I am looking forward to it.
