I have finally secured my airline tickets for travel to Kansas City, Mo. It has been one heck of a ride searching for the “right tickets”. I have spent several hours researching flights, finalizing travel dates, and comparing prices. I will be traveling from Charlotte, NC (CLT) to Kansas City, MO (MCI). Ticket prices ranged from about $200 all the way to over $1000. AirTran Airways was the cheapest, but I chose to spend a few dollars more and go with Northwest Airlines (Delta). In addition to the ticket price, there is also a $15 fee for a checked bag.
Although I am still raising money for this trip and haven’t secured all necessary funds, I decided that I wanted my wife to be there with me so I went ahead and booked tickets for both of us. The tickets actually came in a bit cheaper that I expected, so I adjusted my budget by $100 on the airline tickets line item.
In the past week, I have received my project package, finalized travel dates, and booked our airline tickets. Still have a lot of work to do, trying to stay focused while having fun doing it.
