Thank You Supporters #SkillsUSA #GeoComp09
I want to take a moment and thank all who helped in some way as I competed in the SkillsUSA Geospatial Technology National Competition. It would have not been possible without everyone’s help. I appreciate all who followed this blog as I began the process, worked through the process, and finished the process. I hope that others were able to benefit as much as I did.
Thanks to those who gave financially to get me to the competition. Thanks to my boss who let me bounce ideas off of him. Thanks to my parents who kept our two kids for a week. Thanks to my sister and brother-in-law for picking our kids up from my parents. Thanks to my mother-in-law who took us to the airport and then picked us back up. Thanks to my brother who put a roof over our head in Kansas. Thanks to my niece and nephew who kept us entertained for the week. Thanks to my cousin who put up with us for a few days, gave us a tour of Manhattan, KS and Fort Riley, and then took us back to the airport. Thanks to Delta for allowing us to stay in Kansas City an extra night after a baggage guy ran into our plane.
And most importantly, I want to thank my wife. She hung through the late nights and GIS conversations. She traveled with me to show her support. She kept me motived to give my best. And she did all of this while being pregnant with our third child.
